Because I want to have the Figures that I REALLY LIKE, such as Mecha Musume Figures, Fighter Aircraft models, etc..
Ever since i was a child, i wanted to have model airplanes, but sadly i lost most of them since i treated them like toys X_X.
As for Anime Figures, I just started when I was in 3rD year Highschool. My very first one was a Skuld Figure from Ah! my goddess which peacefully rests in storage now.. Though unlike most collectors I get new figures just once in a blue moon.
Mainly because i don't have much money & my room is REALLY SMALL~ I'd run out of space if i collect too much.
Do you collect to play or decorate?
I collect to decorate my room. Although sometimes i would take them outside for some Photoshoots, otherwise they are room furnitures that i really love to look at :)
Do you get a new one just for something to review?
No, I get new Figures or models that i really want to have, not because i wanted a new item that i can brag about xD.
Although I would still share it with other people online :) I'm not good at reviewing items anyway~
Are you collecting to complete your collection or will always add on to it?
I only collect the stuff I like because, like i said, my room is SMALL. If i keep on collecting like crazy, i might soon run out of display space. Plus it feels like a waste of money.
That's why i'm investing on strike witches/mecha musume only, because i think there won't be much releases of this types of figures as opposed to mainstream ones~ wherein several figures of the same character come out every quarter~ 0_0
Do you collect something just since it is valuable and will sell for a lot of money one day?
Although their values might be good, not really since the figures i have now (at least the newer ones..) are things that i really like~ As they say, they have sentimental values ~ :
Do you ever think you will stop collecting?
Regarding Anime Figures, maybe it will end by the time i'm above 30 .. or even 40~ xD but who knows ~~ ;)
As for Aircraft models.. it might not end as long as i have passion for aviation~ ;)
What is your favorite figure in your collection?
The RE-2200 Furiata pictured above~ It's also my favourite in the mecha musume series~~ Though i really lament not getting the bigger version :( Saw it once in a local hobby shop and had enough cash to get it, i didn't...
but i have high hopes because i think another version of the Furiata girl will be released~ Saw a pic of it in one of the recent figure show reporst from Japan... wonfes? Tokyofigure show i dunno.. 0_^
